D&d walking speed

There is a reason why characters are said to occupy a 5ft square and it's never precised *where* in this square they stand. So an 18th level monk can, with no magic gear, break the 100 meter dash record at level 18 with one feat (mobile). The abstraction of a combat round does not represent the actual speed of the character in a race. This gives them a 14 second 100 meter dash (as they run out of Ki on round 3).Īt 3rd level they cut it down to 13 seconds (as they no longer run out of Ki).Īt 6th level they run 165' per 6 seconds, pulling off a 12 second 100 meter dash.Īt 10th level, they can run 180' per 6 seconds, an 11 second 100 meter dash.Īt 14th level they can run 195' per 6 seconds, a 10.1 second 100 meter dash.Īt 18th level they can run 210' per 6 seconds, a 9.374 second 100 meter dash.

At 2nd level, a human monk with the mobile feat can spend a ki to dash, action dash, and run 150' per 6 seconds.
